Have you come alive??

November 12, 2012
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs.
Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
Howard Thurman (1899 – 1981)
It is  rare to meet someone who has an incredible vision, a detailed plan and is working toward making the dream a reality.  I was so fortunate to recently spend a few hours with an inspiring gentleman with all three firing! For a mature gentleman, Paul had and energy and joy that would leave many of us for dead. It was simply contagious!  I will treasure it in my memory like a vintage heirloom, for I feel as though we are part of the same extended family in terms of our values and motivators. I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing all morning except for when I sneezed (I have these crazy, high pitched sneezes that have a mind of their own).
Paul Dunn is an amazing philanthropic entrepeneur that shares secrets of how to get the edge in business. He started an organisation called Buy One, Give One which helps businesses tap into the higher purpose of prosperity by adding joy and happiness to their world. You might not be in business but if you are in space where you are seeking to influence others (that means everyone!!)  grab a cuppa and take twenty minutes to have a look at this awesome little Ted talk, “How Great Leaders Inspire Action” by Simon Sinek.
Ms J and I had a green smoothie date this morning to discuss some ideas on how to grow her business and incorporate the B1G1 concept (she also attended the seminar)! We were imagining all the wonderful people that we will meet through this community of generous, like-minded people. It’s exciting to be on a journey where we are growing and in turn attracting different types of people into our lives. We’re both so excited about what is to come!!
